Hi all,

Here's a model i finished yesterday morning for a local painting comp. I wanted to get some feedback on him, as I know there are a lot of mistakes and problems (he was rushed in the end), and I have a list of these, but there is always something obvious I miss.

Nice guy. I think you could shade the "inside" of the swords and highlight more the black areas. I also think you could paint his pants another colour than black to add contrast in the mini. But the base is very impressive.

The only 'problems' I can see are:
His front foot is floating above the base, and I can see the pin.
The highlights on the front sword seem to be 'off' from where my eyes expect them to be, but that could easily be my eyes and not the paint job.
Considering he is an assassin who lurks in the shadows, I can't see pushing the contrast any higher than it already is.
Oh, personally I would go with "Voting Link" not "CMON Link", since you are already on CMON :giggle:.
I hope you eventually share your list of problems with those of us who can't see them on our own.

wow nice mini, he looks impressive on that base.
as far as the problems i see the main one is its foot as mentioned before, would try to fix that. the other one is to try to make the highlight on the swords pop a bit more, it might just be me but i think that would make it a bit more like he's lurking in the shadows..
as for the rest of the paintjob: WEL DONE! i would consider higlighting the black just a bit further, only to make it give a bit more shiny look, but thats just personal taste i guess.
I am also quit intrested in your "error list".
so great job, hope this helps a bit!

greets

Thanks everyone! I am planning to post up the error list i have later, but i'm a bit nervous about putting it up so people can see the faults so soon :). The metallics were rushed, so they do let the model down, and i'm not sure why his foot is hovering, as when put him on the base the foot was flat. The strange things is that it isn't a pin, it's a bit of dust or sand, and it's lodged in the perfect place for a pin. I thought it was a pin myself at first, until i realised i didn't pin it there :).
