Deathwing army log

Hi i just wanted to make a few things clear for this list.

firstly in DA rules you may only take 1 heavy weapon per squad.

You may not take a Cyclone missile launcher with any combination of weapons except a power fist and storm bolter.

the wording is \"replace his weapons\" so you keep nothing if you take a cycone and storm bolter.

unless you take belial master of the deathwing, terminators are elites choices, as will be your dreadnaughts.

they become troopsm with belial and you may also take an apothecary which is sick for terminators.

the assault troops are not part of a deathwing army. they are first company veterans and fight exclusivley in terminator armour.

what you have is a very nice dark angels list which totals about 2600 points

With the new codex format you work through the bullet points in order to come up with the end weapon combination. Cyclones can always be taken in addition to any other weapons carried and do not take up a hand slot. In order you replace his weapons (sb+pf) with thunder hammer or lightning claws, step 2 is redundant as he no longer has a pf or ps but if he did you could upgrade to a chain fist, step 3; either replace his sb with a hf or ac (again redundant) or add a cyclone.
Don\'t believe me? Take a look at p65 of the DA codex, there\'s a snazzy trooper with a cyclone and lightning claws
This latest incarnation of the DA rules is promoting a more integrated approach. DW don\'t take the field without support from the tactical companies and RW as exclusively terminator equipped armies are a bit unbalanced. In essence there\'s no such thing as a \"deathwing army\" anymore.
With regard to detatchments and force orgs etc I can\'t see anyone taking 10k points to a tournament so as long as your opponent is OK with it include whatever the hell you want lol

I was aiming more for making a bunch of stuff I like the look of, and kind of fitting it into the codex, and I agree, the claws cyclone is silly, and looks dumb.

I just got a heap of stuff I like, and went from there.

But thanks for the help.

Bumping back up again, but I did have a question, I have a box of bits stuck in the UK, and I kind of want to get them here asap, is there any way of paying for packages to be sent via the internet?

I got matty b to order it, and he got it sent to his place, rather than mine, and its gonna cost about 60ish pounds to get to me.

Which I only have on my credit card, which doesnt help matters at all.

Resinie goodness has arrived!!

Its my birthday!!

Right, Ive got all the bits out the boxes, and after the mandatory playing/drooling/annoying my parents with my new toys, have started work on my various new toys, will have them at a picturable stage in the next couple of days, and in time for my family getting back from paris.

Coincedentally, if anyone wants a men behaving badly time at mine, feel free to call on in, bring your own booze, plenty of room to crash out.

New MkIV Dreadnought constructed, very nice too, looking like his standard weapon fit out with be twin linked autocannons, with a power fist, to be changed for special battles.

Land Raider MkII constructed :|~ my god is that one sexy beast.

Prometheus is being a little tricky, because Im using an old model, pulled apart, and just switching out the appropriate pieces to change it over.

Helios also built, looking very tasty as a support tank, but only able to carry 3 terminators????

A little odd, but hey, not going to be used as an assault tank anyway.

Also, the vindicator, hyperios, MkIIb predator, and Damocles all stuck together in my usual rampant super glue and sharp knives fashion.

Pictures to follow.

When I found the camera I didnt stand onlol

I deserve a bloody medal.

Just imagine nothing has blue on it, Im still waiting for simple green stripper to get here :(

And sorry about the poor quality again, having trouble with my brothers nice new camera thats being a problem.

Youll just have to take my word that you should all go out and get a culln, the detail is fantastic.

And keep in mind this is seriously work in progress, so Ive only done a couple of test jobs, mainly the MkIV dreadnought, but Im still working out a chestnut kind of wash to darken edges out a little.

Colour on that so far is spray black, tau sept ochre foundation first coat, the two light coats of bleached bone, all straight out the pot, with lots of licking of brushes going on :possessed::~:)drool:

Everything else is gonna be done in that paint job, details picked out as needed.
