Hi,

I took up painting more seriously about a half a year ago and decided to improve my skills. That being said i\'m seeking your comments on the mentioned termie . Here are the best two shots i managed to do (please ignore the not drilled flamer and mold lines as it\'s just supposed to be a painting test piece):

Thanks for the replies, i really appreciate them.

I\'ll try to see about that shadows and highlights today and probably finish reds, greens and blacks,
as to the plain legs I hope they would be more live in the context of the colorful upper body and partially shadowed by weapon, but I\'ll see after gluing it together.
I tried primer on some more figures now and it seems it need some more shaking after all, so it should be better on next models.

Well, as my brothers-in-arms already said, it\'s looking goods. Personally i kinda like the subtle highlighting and shadowing. It depends on the desired effect really if you want to go for harder highlight and shadows, or just tweak the shadows, or just the highlights.

For the \'blandness\' that was mentioned. Again, taste, but perhaps you can give it some metalic details, like painting the leg pipes copper or something. Or give the chap some weathering by dry-sponging on some metalic or rusty chips

Sorry, but i haven\'t got much time and i sat to him again yesterday and finished today.
I\'m happy with the result as it was supposed to be only a test mini.
Mainly I wanted to practice blending so weathering is little \'shy\' on him.
I hope you\'ll like how it came out, here\'s the soon-to-be-active voting link: http://www.coolminiornot.com/226706
