I like the Eldar...I know, I know, GW is evil, the eldar are effiminate, they are \"cheesy\" or (beardy if your english).
But I like \'em, something about the sleek lines and the troop varieties. Hell, I even got an Ulthwe\' tatoo.(I better not let GW see it, they\'ll sue me)

Anyway, today at work, much like any day at work I was surfing the web when this sight caught my eye.
Stormtrooper Armour

Hmmm, If you could vacuform stormtrooper armour, why not Eldar armour.

I\'m going to be moving in a few months and adding a real workshop area to where I\'m moving to, so I might have to try this out.

Anybody else ever tried this or had any experience with it?

I was thinking a farseer first, because it\'s mostly helmet, then maybe trying a guardian.

Now, I would make Space Marine Armor.. But that\'s only because my body is closer to that of a Marine. Not kidding, ethier! Last time I was ad GD (only time I was at GD so far!) I stood next to one of them life size marine mock ups and about the only height difference came from the metal sole and helmet! It\'d be a drag to lug that stuff around, especially the backpack, but that\'d sure help loose weight! :p

Edit: I don\'t even have to make it myself, I\'ll just get this guy to do it!

Whilst I myself would love some Space Marine armour, I think you would have to Modify it to much to move properly, ie. the shoulder pads.
The eldar stuff looks like it could be done with plates over a body suit.

That\'s why you have to have friends with a robotics degrees(of course- he says), to give you that extra mechanical advantage just like the big boys have. I fear my best efforts would look like the suit Homer made for Bart for robot wars- kinda mailboxy.lol
Serious site for the Star Wars dedicated though:cool:

Actually, that\'s not the part that scares me, I fear with enough time, energy and money I will go beyond and make the armor work... My brother\'s trying to make a working Aliens Pulse rifle from gun parts, maybe he\'ll make me a bolter... :D (Where\'s my devil smiley?!)

Space Marine...

There are ways to get the shoulders to work, as if you look in the art they do lift off the arm somewhat to allow nearly full movement.

However, the biggest anatomical inaccuracy is having the lower leg much longer than the thigh, meaning that unless you have modified bones like the marines, the knee joint isn\'t in the right place.
