There seems to be a smudge on my camera lens, but I hope you all like the 2 minis so far. I think there is still a little to do to finish them so C&C is very welcome.

The colours look neat. I think there are two major things I would suggest. Be a bit bolder with the highlights and shading and make the heads stand out even more. I think it was wise to take green for the eyes as it is a complementary colour to the red but I suggest you do it a bit brighter or perhaps more saturated as the faces still get a bit lost I feel. Keep up the good work! :)

Hi Delta, nice clean looking army painting. I agree with Avelorn about bringing the faces, not just the eyes, out a bit more - although the lens smudge might not be helping! I\'d suggest,

Dark green wash finely lined around the inside edge of the eye, to increase contrast against the gold metal.
Slightly brighten the already lighter nose side of the eyes.
The vertical ridge down the centre of the face, draw a bright gold line down the forehead then up a couple of mm above the eye & silver down the mouth guard to help bring them forward.
A touch of brighter red to match the other red areas just above the eyes.

Layer or blend it together as suits but I\'d expect the faces to stand out a bit more that way. If the camera still carries a smudge for update photos, move the camera back a couple of inches & frame the picture so that the figure is to one side. Then crop. One of the arms might be a bit blurry but hopefully the centre (head) of the model will be nice & focussed.

Just ideas, looking forward to an update, :) B.
