The blues are very stricking. Maybe a little more blending needed but they look very good. The red looks good but maybe a couple of red washes on the cloak to help smooth it out a bit. Coming along nicely the base is very good as well.

Put the Lib in the fridge for now and focussed on my Death Guard again. Here are some wips of my new Lord, based on the Typhus art in Codex:CSM and the Forge World Dread came in the mail today :D

Very dynamic pose - nice scuplting work:beer:

However, I think the base lets down a great mini - it looks like three cork sheets stuck on top of each other, which is what it is. If I were you, I\'d change it and do the mini justice.

Sorry to end on a bum note, just trying to help out..:|~

Cheers,
Tom

The librarian is looking fantastic, and the deep blue and red is a cool combination.

I like the Nurgle lord too, but the shoulders bother me a bit, they look too small and not \'beefy\' enough to fit in with the rest of the mini, which is huge and imposing!

To be fair though I have not seen the artwork that inspired this so they may be spot on for all I know!

Yeah I fought the base was a bit dull myself to, so I put some foilage, ferns and mushrooms on it, although they aren´t so visible on the pics :(

Thnx all! I\'m trying the upload the Lord on CMON, but the file is to large, even if I use Save for the web in Photoshop:( I\'ll try to lower the quality even more, in order to upload it. Here\'s my new Death Guard mini by the way, a Forge World dread :)

Demon Hunter: Lookiing at the dready I\'ve got a question;
Why have you painted the higher surfaces first and left the deeper recesses and indents?

Would it not be easier to have painted the bits which are deepest and therefore most likely to have the possibility of accidental painting mistakes. That way you can paint over \'errors\' on the upper surfaces without marring the work. Just a thought.

The Grey-Green does look quite sickly and diseased though.

Don\'t know actually what you mean, but I\'ve painted the armour like this:

Basecoat
Highlight
Highlight
Highlight
Glaze with VMC Black Green
Glaze with VMC Violet
Highlight only the most highest edges with VMC Deck Tan
