Yes, it\'s a pure white sheet opf cartridge paper... well, as pure white as cartridge paper gets. Looking at it next to some layout paper (which is VERY white) it has a very feint beige tint to it, but only very slight.
K, just checking it wasn\'t actually a distinct cream or beige paper. But as it happens I had to correct for the foreground separately to the background anyway.

From one of the original pics you posted, how\'s this:

Other than the colour correction I opened up the 3/4 tones and sharpened slightly to compensate for focus.

Ok, she\'s back up for vote...

This is about as good as I think the pics are gonna get!!!

It now has a nice neutral blueish grey background and is shot with the difused flash and the right colour/lighting settings so these pics have not needed any colour corection like the others.

Hope this meets with people\'s approval! ;-)

Cheers all

By George I think you\'ve got it!

The good thing about your figure is that even if the photos weren\'t so great, the quality of the mini shines through! As soon as I saw it in the cabinet, I thought it must get something (and I definitely think the 40k singles category was bursting with wonderful stuff!).

Anyhoo - I think the photos now look fab!

Congratulations on the silver, and if I get to meet you next time, I\'ll smile and gurn and ask to buy you a drink :)

Yep those pics are a massive improvement. All the colours look nice and the miniature is well lit!

I have to say I underestimated it in the cabinets, I just saw some blues and pinks and shrugged. But this is great! :) very nice blending and interesting colourscheme. The base is very well done!

I wouldn\'t care if that thing was photographed in a flourescant filled restroom.

It STILL blows my socks off!

I absolutely love it. One of the coolest things I\'ve seen in a while.

Hmmmm... (moves to toilet with camera and sheet of grey paper)

Cheers \'vike, appreciated :)

I still really don\'t think it\'s that great, certainly not in comparison with a lot of single minis I\'ve seen, but I bow to the gudgement of those with more experience (and a higher opinion of my skills) than I have :)

It seems you\'re on the right track with your photography. Probably room for further improvements, especially seeing as you have an advanced camera, but this is definitely on the right path.

As for the miniature... Great work! It\'s the first version I\'ve seen of the new demonettes that I really like. Cool base too! What did you use for the gas tube? I\'m particularly interested in what the knob at the end comes from.

The ribbed tube on the base is guitar string, after 2hrs of bending it to make it look like it\'s sagging (god I hate bending that stuff!!!)

The valve wheel on the end of the gas tank came from a sheet of custom brass etch parts I had made :) It was originally for a modified Chaos Ogryn berserker in a diving suit (still WIP).. it\'s unbelievably fragile, but looks cool as long as you don\'t touch it :)

I went into a toilette in Holland in a superstore type job and the only lighting was ultra violet. Stuff glowed...

@Ben: Ah, feared as much... I hoped it would be some commercial product as it looked so good, and I could really use a few for a project of mine, but after seeing your tank WIP thread I suspected it might be a custom etched thing. Looks good! :)

Do you want a few? Gonna add some to the next sheet I have made, can bung a few on for next to nothing and fill up some space... how many do you need and what size?

May be a few weeks, but I don\'t mind posting em to you.
