I may be wrong as I dont play 40k but is a rhino not a marine transport not a guard?.
Another way to show the spread could be to have the trench supports reanimated and attacking the guards from behind.

This is some really serious awesome work you are doing there, I look forward to your next posts and hope your day to day life will not slow down your creative juice too much.

Carry on

Update:

I´ve made a bit of progress on some of the parts of the legs:

The legspike still needs a lot of detailing and trimming, but it´s coming along - the other parts are done (for now at least :p). These parts I´ll try and cast once I get my hands on some supplies.

The next picture shows a quick sketch of how I´m planning to put it together:

The part from the legspike to the joint will be made from plastirods, and is supposed to look like a hydraulic system, so it can slide in and out so that particular part of the leg can be different lengths (should help with the pose when putting the rhino together).
The rest of the leg is gonna be \"pure\" mutation with spikes webbing, rods and cables thrown in at random to make it really chaotic.

Lastly I´ve made a quick - and very crude - mockup of the leg. Just for scale purposes

It´s gonna end up being slightly bigger than i orginally envisioned :p

As always any comments, ideas and advice is strongly encouraged and appreciated!

I´m pretty sure you´re right about this, but I´m not going for complete 40K fluff realism, but more for a cool scene (and I didn´t have any guard tanks handy when I started on this thing :p).

This behemoth is so frikkin cool it\'s unbelievable. It\'s going to be absolutely huge, I would quite happily sacrifice one of my kids to be able to sculpt like this. Can\'t wait to see it finished!!

Thanks :)

The tank is on standby for a couple of months - or 3.

We just bought a new house which needs a lot of renovating, and we´re hoping to be done december 2nd. for the arrival of our 2nd child.

So updates are gonna be a while - but it isn´t dead :p
