Desert scenes.

Can anyone recall any cracking desert scene dioramas at all? I\'m trying to get some resources together for a project, and whilst I\'ve got a load of lovely photos of deserts and stuff, I\'d quite like to see some mini stuff done with this in mind.

What a coincidence, I\'m looking for the exact same thing. Unfortunately, I haven\'t found any turorials for cracked desert so I\'m doing trial and error. What I\'m going to try is a thin layer of drywall mud spread over tinfoil (or other flexible, non-flammable material) and then put it under a very hot lamp to dry and (hopefully) crack like normal mud. If this doesn\'t work then i\'ll just lightly roll the tinfoil until it cracks. I\'ll let you know the results. Fingers crossed

It\'s done with Aves apoxie sculpt I think, then just cut in and/or feathered the cracks in the surace with a sculpting tool.
