There was a bit of a dodgy explicit pulp piece posted sometime over the last week or so, it featured a naked (apart from pith helm) African explorer type chic trussed up over a fire pit.
It had a curious detail on the cross bar which I couldn’t figure out what it was supposed to be.
Anyhow, I was looking for it this morning, and it seems to have disappeared.
Did the author take it down? Were there complaints about content? Or was it removed for some other reason?

There was one put up where it is now I don\'t know but the model in question I think was from a range by Mascot Models which I believe are no longer in production. They are 90mm scale.

Well that’s pretty much what stirred my curiosity. I mean, it was a pretty average sculpt, the typical kind of smutty Blackpool pleasure beach subject matter that’s been around forever, nothing especially offensive, all though I guess the connotations were not at all PC.
But if it was removed due to complaint or auto censureship, where do we stop?
What about this fantastic little sculpt from Degra, does that have to go too, and all the severed heads and gore fest pieces? Can they stay?
There’s probably not any real issue here, it’s highly possible that the piece is still up there and I’m too blind/lazy to find it, but the point remains, where’s the line round here. Plus I was getting bored with the Captain Marvel versus Chuck Norris stuff and I felt like a little popcorn….

The painter, Tank or Tanker I can\'t remember which, removed the picture by themselves after a critical comment.
I approved the comment but didn\'t agree with it.

I think that there should be some Kudos to the painter for being sensitive to the opinions of others.
However I think that the figure in question was far less offensive than some items which have been on here.

None of this bothers me, I mean, if I was into larger scale stuff, i\'d probably paint it lol
I have two nude figures in my gallery (and more with there tits oot) and because they are a smaller scale they don\'t seem to get any of this \'sensitive soul\' criticism shite. But really, how is it any different?

I have a diorama I\'m working on that will probably get some of the same critisism as this one. Not as much showing.....well....different bits showing but the set up is going to raise eyebrows. Even if I get a comment like that I wouldn\'t pull it. There is a disclaimer on the site about age and art is supposed to make people think. Even be uncomfortable. And I consider that art not smut. But then I\'m from California, and we perfected the pron industy so I may be a bit jaded. :D

ironically some ppl on this site seem to have more objections with porn than violence. a case in which larry flynt brought up in the 80\'s.

Oh, that\'s absolutely true of America in general. No idea how it goes in the rest of the world. One of my favorite examples of this was the USA network airing the director\'s cut of the remake of Dawn of the Dead. Limbs being chainsawed off, throats ripped out, etc etc, all was left in. The scene near the beginning with the nude lady stumbling past the car? Her boobs were blurred.
