Ok,

All you shutterbugs out there, I need a weeny bit of help please (pretty please).

I\'m finally gonna get a little bit of money back from the tax man soon, and I have about £150 which I can spend on a digital camera. I\'ve been looking at the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P32 which I can order at that price, but as I barely know the front of a camera from the back, I was wondering if you guru\'s could tell me 1. If its worth considering and 2. If I could actually take a picture of a miniature with it that could actually be seen

I reckon any thing with 2 megapixel and macro will do.Being digital it should be pc ready with leads software.The one you mention doesnt have optical zoom but ive never used mine on minis.You mights miss it on holiday snaps though.
Btw I use a fuji finepix a204,probably 100-150 quid by now.

Hmm.. well I have the Sony Cybershot DSC-P50. It works fine once you get the hang of the manual settings and you can see the results in my gallery or on my website. I don\'t know if it has the same problem with batteries as mine did, but if you do buy it, don\'t use disposables. Get yourself som NiMH rechargeables that are at least 1700 MaH. Then it will work for quite some time. Also, Sony are very stingy with the memory and only gave me a 4 meg card with the camera. I have bought a much larger card via ebay which cost me about £60. Overall I am very happy with my camera and am amazed at the improvements in picture quality when I spent a few minutes working out the manual settings. I use ISO 100 and an \"EP\" of +2.00.
