I am thinking about dipping some sisters of battle

can all you lovly people post pictures of your results.

I am trying to work out is they will look good due to lots of cracks and cavases.

Well, yes, but how easy it is to paint on top will depend on what you dip the figs in.

If you\'re using a spirits-based woodstain + varnish product like Fanatic Army Painter appears to be, you might have trouble getting your acrylics to stick to it.

If you\'re making up your own dip using an acrylic medium such as Future Floor Polish, you\'ll probably have an easier time painting on top.

It\'s quite forgiving to paint over FAP, no problems what so ever.

After highlighting over the initial coat of dip, I always seal the highlights with another coat of superlight colored dip. I\'m not sure how the acrylics would adhere over time and with handling.

I\'ve also sealed FAP-dipped figures with Model Masters DullCote, works fine.
