Dirz Crossbowman ( ...or;which picture is better)

Here is something new from me. Painted with nmm style. I have kind of a mixed filings about this miniature. In genereal, I like the style of Rackham miniatures, but there are also some flaws. This guy sure had some really small details, tubes, wires and stuff. Elegant miniature in a way but specially that hand was pain in the butt to glue and some details a bit difficult to paint.

Edit: I just got a new pc and new monitor couple of days ago when my old one crashed. Now I have changed and calibrated some of my new monitor setting, so this latest work can be kind of a test piece. So, what do you think; which one of these pictures look better A or B?

B

I posted pic B earlier here when I had my old computer/monitor, and it just doesn't look that good to me now that I have new monitor. So this new picture is a bit darker at least.

Hello,

Just raised this for as you can see. I have upgrated this picture but I would like to hear some suggestions about which image you see that looks better and why. So if you could be kind and help me with this one:smile-big:

Go with pic A..I think the black background helps with the shadows and gives the overall paint job more depth

Pic B looks a little too bright and looks more cartoonish to me...

...of course, as you can see by my gallery...pics are not my strong suit in this hobby, so take this with a grain of salt.

Picture A seems to be too dark and the detail is not as defined as compared to picture B. If you could get picture B with a background color that wasn't as close to the same color as the bulk of the mini's armor you'd be on to something. Either way the mini looks really great. The only other constructive criticism I can think of is maybe have the mini's kilt have more orange than red as orange is the complimentary color to the armor's blue and just be mindful of the "light source" in your NMM. But that's just knit-picking on a really good mini.

Happy painting!
