Disappointing Service

Hey,

I\'ve got no comment about Eastern Front (I\'ve made an order but it was through the WarStore with no problems), but I wanted to make a comment to those who are recommending doing credit card chargebacks when you pay via paypal - I have heard tales of paypal shutting down your account (and any money in it) in retaliation for your credit card chargeback as well as shutting down or penalizing the account of the person to whom your money originally went. I haven\'t had it happen to me personally, but I\'ve heard tales. If you can work through Paypal\'s system to get your money back, I\'d go that route first (Although I\'ve heard bad things about that, too).

Drake I dont dodge anyone Im here responding trying to get everything squared away.I would drag names out of the people who caused the majority of the problem..delays in recieving minis that were to be painted..etc etc..but Im not the type to start a uproar..its my fault I know Im in charge but I see who my friends are when it comes down to it.I have started selling well on ebay so I now dont have to rely on the so-called help..its basically been a one man show from the start..straight from the hip

Cool, I\'m glad to hear it! I ran out of money before I found your booth at GenCon last year, but I plan to organize a little better this year. :->

Wren,
lol at Gencon thats easy to do..easy to blow the whole wad of money in one day..but sometimes waiting to the day before last or last is when you will get the sweet deals..at Gencon we will have a banner up last year we were with Lance and Lazer guys..so should be easier to find us..since youre basically the only person who has said anything positive about us today we will make a effort on your part when you come by the booth with something extra for you to take home:) thanks again.

I just hope you get it sorted. There were some good concepts coming out and the Balrog was looking very nice.Credibility and good will are hard to build up again once you lose it.

I think you missunderstood my comment, but thats cool man. I am glad to see that you are trying fix things, mend the fences if you will. I have seen way to many people in this industry blame everybody else for their problems. I wish you the best of luck.

Painting ploddy I agree 100% but these things happen I have read and heard similar things from other companies, rough starts, mishaps, failed alliances, delays I guess is the norm.So im trying to take it in stride;)..the balrog will be done later this year possibly in time for christmas in the form of a boxset is the plan.hes done basically aside the wings Im told..100 mm tall and 200mm+ wingspan is the goal.

Drake,I appreciate it I know exactly what you mean..I guess I just wanted to put that out there.I used to be here on coolmini every day a regular in the chatbox..I still come back now and again as this is where I met alot of very cool people, artists ,sculptors,..someone told me when we started that people like to see you succeed but love to see you fail..I think we havent failed by any means just a set back finacially..also when wave 2 is done and said and said and done we will do molds 1 and a time instead of trying to put out 12-15 minis at a time 3-4 minis every couple of months so the minis are continously coming out..yes I havent passed the buck on anyone in this thread it was easy to do but doesnt accomplish anything and leaves hard feelings in the end..since I was straight with you I appreciate you being straight with me ;)

well , Mick, I doubt you`ll see completed balrog if you don`t sort all those problems. Marek is heavily disheartened becuase of the time he have to wait for the payment. Natural thing - when you treat someone fair you expect the same from the other side. In this case - Marek sculpted a model, sent in advance and he expected to get cash in reasonable time. you`ll definitely have to work hard to regain the trust of the people that worked for you.
as you said the demon is nearly completed (now, even the wings). I`m courious when Marek`s patience will run out and when he will decide to change and finish the model and sell it to someone else.
still don`t get me wrong - i think you`re honest person, just have some problems with running the bussiness.

Malleus I agree when we start the new way of paying for work we want to start by paying half up front before the sculptor starts I think its only fair with marek hes done very good work for us.paypal not being ready available in the past in Poland from what I understand doesnt help..on another note marek knows selling art based on someone elses designs is a no no I would hope everyone who makes miniatures knows this..also i think he knows the situation and sees we are trying to get caught up.

well, as you know you could pay with a credit card. i would be surprised to know that you run a bussiness and don`t have it. but i agree that not having paypal in Poland is a real pain in the a... but there`s a tiny spark of hope - recently citizens of Poland has been allowed to register and send payments through PayPal, so maybe in a near future we will be able to receive them as well.
yes, we know that directly using someones work is a \"no no\" . but first of all until Marek gets the payment it`s his (still he can`t reproduce it, sell etc without the permission of the owner of the original concept if I`m right, will check it). that`s why i wrote that if Marek decides to sell it , he will change it considerably, so it will be different from the concept and more to his liking.
currently when he gets a commission he solves such problems in a different way than that you suggest (agreement fair for both sides, pm me if you`re interested), altough yours seems to be fair as well.

BTW - maybe we could switch to pm`s? As Gamers Quest said washing dirty laundry in public is no fun.

Malleus we are very much interested in having the miniature line look stay the same also changing sculptors is not a good idea when you want conformity in a units look..having 2 sculptors just doing a line can make it look odd..I have seen this when Mutant chronicles was out..very good artists but the different styles making it look very odd scale wise..anyways I have wrote Marek after I spoke to you and hope I can regain his faith in me and my peers here now things are starting to happen again..heres one for you if you wanna talk disheartening..try sitting on almost 30 miniatures and cant get the proper packaging as someone wont follow through for 6 months..very annoying let me tell you..especially when you have people wanting to carry the miniatures and cant because they cant be properly displayed in the store..I have definitely learned alot in the past 2 years on what not to do but like I say its lessons learned.
