Over the perspex price, also add the \'being-arsed-to-make-them-in-the-first-place-tax\' :D

Acrylic is cheap and they\'d take about 10 minutes to make.

Piece of piss!

Stick the thing back on Ebay afterwards and you\'d make your money back!

Cutting the acrylic can be a real pain, when using it in work I normally cut it with a bandsaw on a slow speed and failing that then you need a lot of space, Somewhere flat and a way of clamping it down because tou will need to score it deeply along the line you want it cut then clamp it on a straight edge with something straight on top and then bend it to snap it along the line that you scored.

Now i know what i should have made for my school tech project. I could have knocked some of them up in a jiffy wih our super duper laser cutter:)

hmmm... so, we\'ll need a plastic bending machine, a laser cutter or bandsaw (and presumably something to smooth and bevel the cut edges) a large flat work surface.... feck! at this rate, we\'ll also need an industrial unit to work from too lol

:D;)

Won this on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170159811382

I thought it was a bargain for £8... going to spend a few evenings sanding it down and refurbing it. Maybe add some mirrors inside, not sure yet.

I\'m going to pick it up tonight.
