Hopefully, the commissions themselves (Ie. What the customer(s) WANT) is what are awful, and not your painting! lol 
I agree with the \"do anything\" idea - although I wouldn\'t necessarily recommend painting figures, as if you\'re not in the mood, it might reflect in your painting - do ANYTHING else that you enjoy though
