I am currently a Test Lead for a large publisher. I am looking to get into a Producer/Project Manager role at some point but I am learning a lot about everything right now.

My degree is in design and so far from the art side I enjoy texture art and level design the most. I just love photoshop.

I enjoy my job, I\'m in charge of a team of 6 people and we do hotel bed room reservations, conference\'s & group travel bookings. My boss is great in that he leaves me to it and only gets involved if there is a problem.

The team I work with are great and always give 100%, we have the freedom to get bookings however we can so we don\'t have to just sit there and wait for calls.

Dodging artillery rockets marked \"Occupant\" is preferable to dealing with self important asshats who think because they read something on the internet we\'re gonna give them what they want.

Perhaps I\'m just tired of dealing with people who think negotiating is acting like a 3 year old with the added joy of swearing. Oh, and telling me what a shitty company I work for. After they have said they don\'t want or have to do what we have asked them to in order for the warrenty process to work.

Like I\'m gonna be real cooperative after that.

I guess on the whole you could say that I enjot my job as I have been doing it for nearly 32 years now despite their efforts to sink me late at night or set fire to me on more than one occassion, I even get teh chance to fly in helicopters now and then :)

They pay me to take holidays and I get lots of them :D in fact I have just about come to the end of two months payed holiday so will need to go back to work next week :(

The job has constant variables but the downside depends on who is in charge at teh top and the budget to play with along with some of what I have to work with.

lol Donna I almost wish it was the stake but first time was diesel the second was hot oil over a copper brake disk that had just been applied.

I won\'t mention the number of times I get covered in fuel or oil not to mention other substances when things go wrong :D

In a word:
NO

I just had to fill out a form to ask for a half day off - it was returned to me for \"please provide a brief explanation\" of why I wanted to use some of my PTO.

That is Personal Time Off.

Oh, I have a current balance of 187.5 hours of PTO available - so if I want to use a half day, I really did not feel it was a major issue.

I hada boss like that last year, ask to take a weeks leave whenever the shp was alongside and the answer was always no can I not just take a day either side of the weekend instead??? My answer \"No I want a week off\". Thats why I have jusst had two months off because of all the leave I had accumulated because they wouldn\'t let me take more than a day or two here and there.

I love my job. Primarily because of the people I work with, but I enjoy the actual workings of the job as well.

The pay is good, the company takes care of it\'s own and I don\'t have any idiots to contend with day in and day out. When I want time off...well...I just dont\' show up. I get the occasional irritating client, but my business is at the point where if I don\'t like working with them I can recommend a competitor who would \"probably be a better fit\" for them. lol

As much as I like my job though, I work to live, not the other way around. I still would rather be with my family but it feels good to be able to comfortably care for them and give them the things I\'d like to give them...all the while supporting my pewter \'habit\'

Thought about putting :
\"Because the adult novelty store is having a closeout sale and I need a new inflatable sheep.\"
Instead, I just copied from our employee\'s handbook:
\"To balance my personal and professional life.\"

hehe, that\'s a good one, though I was thinking something more along the lines of a doctor\'s office and a shot of a certain thick antibiotic to a certain hind region, but then again, I seem to remember that the clap did come from sheep originally...

I have not even a clue what you are talking about here.

I am mixed on my job. I enjoy it but it has serious ups and downs. I have recently changed from being on one side of the fence to the other and it messes with my head.

I used to work at a court and now i\'m the loewst level of lawyer. I have definately seen the way i approach things change and i am in a much higher pressure environment. whilst i am unqualified i have limited scope on what work i can do, but the possibilities of earning serious money is high (i have 2 kids and a wife to support)

i guess it\'s a career and rightly sucks all my time up

I like my job, being an electrician definatly has its ups and downs thought. If you can find a good company to work for then your set. But, there are a lot of crappy places to work and a lot of people who say that they can do electical work that cant.
