Do you refrigerate ketchup (catsup)?

P
Yup, when ya get the gut wrenching owiezowie next time- don\'t blame a bug, look at your diet. Incorrectly stored food makes way more people sick than you can imagine. I don\'t even want to go there when it comes to restaurants. My pal the health inspector is a horrible guy to hear stories from.:|~lol
I guess preservatives eventually kill us, but save us some other disease in the short run if you look at it that way. Which is the lesser of two evils I guess. Ketchup is basically glucose and and whack of chemicals. Keeping it in the fridge just keeps them from separating and growing a cespooll of buggies one could imagine. Me. I don\'t wanna.lol:duh:lol

Casting aspersions on the noble name of Rab? How dare you sir!

My sunday name\'s Robert but I\'ve been Rab about as long as I can remember, even my parents call me Rab :)

I can\'t believe this thread\'s still going, that\'ll teach me to start random polls just because I\'m bored :D

Hmm. I grew up in Oregon and I\'d never heard of putting malt vinegar on french fries until I visited a friend of mine in Canada when I was 18. I don\'t know what restaurants you\'re going to. ???

You\'re just too young, Ali.
;)

Speaking of refrigerating things, who prefers cake chilled? A couple of friends of mine insist on putting cake and other pastries in the fridge.

That means you\'re going to do it even more often, doesn\'t it? :D

Chips & Cheese? They\'re cheese fries out here, and you can\'t find them without a TON of garlic, but then I live about 30 minutes from the garlic capital of the world. And if you get them at the Ballpark in SF, don\'t even think about Kechup, they\'re already perfect.

And besides, everyone else there will be eating them and smelling like garlic anyway, so no one will complain...until you get home...:flame:

oh, about refrigerating stuff, I do, but mostly because I have more storage space in there than on my shelves, so it seemed the way to go.

This thread had been going on just too long, I couldn\'t resist adding another pointless post to it forever...I tried!

I don\'t understand the appeal of chilled pastries, I also don\'t understand people who freeze candy bars, but then some people swear by it (frozen Score Bars)

PS I guess make that adding 2 pointless posts to the thread!

People do all sorts of crazy things with candy bars. In Glasgow you can get deep fried snickers bars...

Mainly Mars Bars rather than Snickers and it\'s not just in Glasgow, you can get them in a lot of places. You can also get deep fried pizzas over here and yes, they are every bit as disgusting as you\'d imagine.

I once asked a guy in a Fish & Chip shop what the weirdest thing he\'d cooked was, his reply \"Individually battered and fried Maltesers\".

Scotland - leading the world in heart disease since the 1500s :D

Rab (who\'s never eaten deep fried chocolate).

I actually tried a deep fried Cheesecake over the holidays, it was actually not so bad, but had that \"trying too hard\" feel to it, I think it probably would have been better without the fry.

Deep fried ice cream though, that\'s good stuff.

Oh, I had just heard about snickers bars from a friend of mine... And why would you want to fry a pizza! ??? Isn\'t it greasy enough? ;)
