I look back at my own gallery and think it's not that amazing, now and then.

But, yeah, it's interesting to look back at the galleries of some of the greats and see their early stuff. It's cool to see the development.

Oh, I look at their galleries, but so far the evidence that I'm looking at on my painting table shows that I'm going backwards. Nearly chunked a mini last night I'm so disappointed with it.:curse!:

It takes certain self-confidence to put older stuff in, but it is very educational for us mere mortals :), because it demonstrates progress and how fast it could be achieved if you put some efforts into it. The most illustrative in that respect is the gallery of Natilia Melnik (Alexi Z). First miniature - 6.8, nothing great and two years later.....

That´s why I would never even consider deleting my oldest / first Submissions...:)... It´s always good to see that we all cook with water (as a German saying goes...)...^_^...

yeah, i do. I often find myself praying that the first submission wont also be mind boggling, just as proof that the end queality is really acheiveable

Yep, sure have. Looking at some of the earlier pieces of some of the top-rate painters definitely gives me hope that I might be able to be a decent painter with enough time and practice (lots and lots of time and practice).
