Does anyone else do this?

Small spritzer bottle

I also have one of those small atomizer bottles, like you can get a WalMart in the cosmetics section. I use it to spritz my pallet and keep it moist as I work. A fine mist is all you need - more than that and it will thin the paints too much.

I have to have a mobile painting rig - I\'ve started a painting workshop and I need my stuff so I can teach/supply the newbies. I\'ve got one of those big, wheeled two-tiered tackleboxes. Only had it a few months; now I wonder how I ever did without it.

I\'ve also found that in addition to \"quirks\" that I use when painting, there\'s stuff I\'ll see another painter do and think, \"I can\'t do that\" or \"that\'s too much work\", but within a few months I\'m doing it myself.

For instance, when I first got a 000 spotter (the WN7 miniature), I didn\'t think I\'d ever have the control to use it. Now it\'s one of my favorite brushes.

When I first saw someone putty a gap and sculpt the putty so it would match the surrounding mini, I thought \"that\'s crazy, it\'s too much work, I\'ll never do THAT!\" Now I wouldn\'t dream of NOT doing it, especially on a big dragon.

Saw something the other day at the store that I\'m jonesing to buy - one of those multi drawer plastic rolling organizers - it had 4 large drawers that could hold paints and primers and such and two smaller ones that would hold smaller items and wips. But the GF said no until I could figure out where to store it in the apartment. Damn the luck and her good sense :p:D:p

Maybe an attic would be better? `Cept attics are hotter than blue blazes in the summer, and in Louisianna there\'s a lot of summer. lol

I know, I used to insulate houses for a living which usually involved climbing into attics to add more insulation.
I would usually lose 30 to 40 lbs. a summer just sweating it off...plus the fact that I can\'t eat if I\'m hot:|~

Yes, I have one of those little dohickeys...
I store all my extra stuff in it, and since it is on wheels can move it easily to any part of my hobby room....Actually right now, I keep it under my drafting table (which is what I am using for a paint table) and it doubles as a ready accessible foot stool as well...

Tell you what, why don\'t you go ahead and get one, and I will store it here for you.....Really, its the least I could do....:p

Actually I have something similar but the weight of all my paints warps the plastic drawer and I can\'t close it all the way...:(

I thought about that - I was going to cut a piece of masonite to fit the bottom of the drawer to prevent warpage.

Don\'t know if it\'ll work, seems to be the frame.
