I figured I\'d ask here first....
Does anyone know a patent attorney or has anyone gotten a patent before, in the USA, that knows the process a bit?
Thanks,
Kev

What? You mean you don\'t trust all those ads on tv about patenting your inventions?

Don\'t blame you.
You should be able to just go to the patent office nearest you and get some general information.
I know diddly about the legal aspects of patenting.

Yea...late night TV isn\'t generally my main source of info.
Yea, I pulled some general info from the patent office website---I\'m just at that step that I need some assistance--as the documents are fairly complicated---especially for someone as simple minded as me.
Thanks a bunch for the bit of help.

Nah..it wasn\'t like that for me, as I knew it was a longshot.

In my own business, I always try to approach the angle that my money is best served in my own community---so, I *always* attempt that direction first. Keep the money you spend in the place you buy...that sort of thing...

I know where I can find a patent attorney. I just figured that I would *rather* pay an attorney that paints miniatures....as opposed to one that doesn\'t.

I just figured I\'d try to feed our little circle as opposed to feeding a different circle.

Basic economics---I pay a patent attorney, he has more money to buy miniatures and miniature related stuff. The business he buys miniatures from improves. The miniature company grows economically, they spend more money on improved processing, prices go down when I buy my next miniature...etc...etc...etc....

My intentions were honorable...it just got lost in \"Look he\'s askin for an attorney on a mini forum!\"...lol

You might try checking with the official patent office, or see if there is a website listing attorneys by there specialty. My father holds a patent and it seemed it was a somewhat expensive and lenghtly process to get it.

Thanks Shawn. I have a list that I got from them for my local attorneys. I was just trying to keep the money in these circles.
