Does anyone know how to paint a bear white?

I am trying to paint Tsar boris the kislev boss, but evertime I try to paint the bear it looks rubbish. Has anyone painted it? if so can anyone give me some tips.

Well I havent painted this mini but I would start with Codex Grey then highlight with Codex grey and finish with Skull White.

You get a nice cold effect if you use Space Wolves Grey ans highlight up to white. As for bears, sorry, never painted one.

I ment to say from Codex Grey to Fortress Grey My mistake.... it happens when Im writting something and thinking about something else

To be honest I think that starting from Grey might make the bear look Dull.
You may want to consider priming white and then using a wash of thinned darker grey (Either Codex or Shadow ) to pick out the fur texture. Then Lightly dry brush the muscle definitions with a lighter grey and a final Drybrush highlight with White.

Polar bears

If you want it to look like a polar bear I would suggest a light brown colour rather than a grey. I found this image using google and you can see the colours.

Hm, I would start by painting the fur with bleached bone, then give it a couple of washes of varying brown or grey or even dark yellow colors, depending on how you want it to look. Then I would drybrush the fur with bleachd bone then a mix of bleached bone and skull white and finally just skull white. That should do it

polar bear

begin the bear in snakebite leather. wash in brown ink in the darkest spots. drybrush snakebite leather (or highlight) followed by vomit brown, bubonic brown, bleached bone, and finally white. i did this on my archaon model (did the polar bear skin on his back) and it turned out fine
