Does anyone on here paint?

Well I think I\'m going to paint them \"backwards\" it looked better, and was alot easier. Gonna go get started on them now. Got alot of cloud to paint before I can move on.

HEY

i bought a 2 foot wide rectangular canvas last week. gonna paint (attempt) a nature scene for a very close friend\'s bday (same bday as me actually in june).

first time on canvas. the canvas is preprimed so they told me i don\'t have to do prime it or anything; now i wonder.

i want to make a nature scene like the stuff you see thomas kinkade do (i know mine won\'t turn out as well but oh well).

will be using some water based tube paints (golden, W&N) and craft paints...and maybe a bit of GW/Vallejo paints for hilites if needed on a sharp edge or branch, etc...

so acrylics and water basically.

I\'ve used GW paints in some of my other paintings before, the thing about it is that I found that it generally had a very different texture and sheen compared to the other acrylics I was using. It might be a good idea to do a test with some of your paints and the GW paints on a peice of paper just to make sure that it looks good.

Chuff to buying ready made. Frames are a doddle to knock together and canvas stretching is pretty simple. It works out so much cheaper, especially if you want to work BIG!!!

I thought about doing it all myself but I have absolutely none of the necessary materials here so I really didn\'t have a choice. Plus it did save me a bit of time.
