I did not read this post. It was by Ebonbuddha. I also didn\'t look at the quite superb fire and smoke effects the feller on the link has made. I also failed to notice the face on the miniature that, in one particular shot, looks like he\'s shitting his pants from fear! Have a look at the one where the column looks affected by the wind and blows low over the top of the figure\'s head. I never looked and I quite enjoyed it.

I\'m happy you real CMONers enjoyed it. I did find it funny 84+ people looked at the thread, but only five commented.lol

I\'m not a fan of the cotton smoke either. But he did a great job. I do have one question; isn\'t the fire going hte wrong way? Is it yellow to red or red to yellow? ???

The rule of thumb is it\'s more red where it\'s colder and brighter, yellow to even blue where it is the hotest. But as different flames can be on different levels etc. the effect can be somewhat varied. I personally found that fire effect he did very realistic.

What I\'m talking about

Thanks guys. I was repainting my Mordheim Witch Hunter Warband and I forgot to get a picture of how they looked before.

Cool, I\'ll give that a try.
What do you reckon the life expectancy of something like that is if gets regular table top use, I can see it deteriorating rapidly, but if its as quick and easy to do as it seems, I guess that\'s not such a big deal

I never really took \'cotton\' very seriously, but saw it used very effectively during gaming at GENCON....coolio.

You are welcome guys.

I remember playing Footsoldier (28mm WWII miniature game) and we use cotton and dark grey paint no imagination. If i knew how to do this, I would have been considered a god.lol

BTW: you can use Krylon black spray primer. It is just as good, if not better than GW and isn\'t as expensiver. Atleast it wasn\'t when i useto use it.:)
