Hehe, i just did a search on freehand and lets just say that id be here for the next 2 days reading everything :p
Just wanted to know about freehand... how do ppl go about doing freehand? start on paper with ideas or just slap it on the mini? if you make a mistake with freehand do you even try to fix it up or incorparate it with the design? thinned paints? or a good article on freehand would be sweet, but i dont need a freehand article on how to put a couple black lines on a mini either, i need more like the trippy stuff ppl do here with freehand pictures and such.
Any advice would be sweet, especially on how you would start an idea off :D

some have the referance material in front of them whilst painting.

i just slap the paint on and go for it :D

It depends what you want to achieve.. The galleries on this sight are the best inspiration you will get..
Check out Yellow Ones gallery ...mindblowing...
A lot of the stuff I am doing is just painting patterns .. Check dread on my gallery..
Others go for sheer artistry ..Trying out on paper or a tile can help you find different ways to construct symbols and patterns etc..
Thin paints a steady hand a good quality brush and patience is required..

On the subject of searches don\'t search for BEASTMEN....trust me I tried ...

Basically, don\'t google ANYTHING (especially image search) unless you\'re alone in a dark room at least 100 m from any other human. Google is good... TOO good sometimes lol

I once was talking to a guy at work about Warhammer and did a google image search for \"cold one\".

The goggles. They do nothing.

Regarding the actual topic... I copy a pattern on the computer, then print off a reference approximately the size I want to use. That will also show you if your freehand is too detailed for the space in question, and would look busy or detail would just be lost.

Hooker headers . . . not as bad as it used to be. Most engines will link the two words together to get car parts instead of body parts.

On Topic: I don\'t do freehand so I can\'t help.
