Well the title says it all, somwhere in this wonderfult site and it´s WIP´s there is a link to a page with a tutorial based on WW II I believe, it is a car and snow with mud and some soldiers and a house. Mainly the reference to this page was due to how to make mud. The WIP had on example on it where the author pointed to this link as the souce of her/his base of information.

Stupid me i didn´t bookmark it and now I am desperate enought to ask for some help of you all. Anyone reconisses which WIP I am looking for or knows the linkt to the page that I am serching for?

Frustrated... not frustrated... frustrated... not frustrated...Arrggh

Hopefully someone will know where i should look, or just share your own frustration with the rest of us...

Making mud is dead easy: fine sifted sand (more than one grade can work well) + paint at the simplest.

If you want to get more involved you can make combos of Polyfilla, sifted sand, PVA glue (or acrylic medium) and paint.

P.S. I wouldn't mix this sort of thing, or attempt to apply it, with any brush you care about!

Wall mud a.k.a. tape and bed compound, Spackle, etc. will make great mud. You can paint it later or mix in a bit of acrylic paint to pre-color it.

Careful if you use lots, it will shrink as it dries.

Well to be more precise it should be wet mud that part of the turoial was about.
That's no problem: use dark brown paint, maybe leave out the Polyfilla and either use gloss medium in the mix or overcoat with it at the end.
