Doombull & Dragon Ogre WIP

Granddad!
Some more commissions I\'m working on, did a bit of conversion work on the Doombull

Minotaur-WIP.jpg

here\'s his shield; scratch built the \'door\' then \'nailed\' an assortment of shields to it. The primer reacted with the plastic shields, but I think I can use it to make look old & weathered

and the Dragon Ogres, the flesh is more or less done on first 3

these 3 are only have a base color on so far

Granddad!
@PM: yeah balsa wood
The primer is my Vallejo black, it may have reacted with the grey car primer I\'d put on first. It\'s never done it before. Also it only did it on the plastic parts, as you can see the doombull himself is fine ??? to say the least, I\'m a bit confused.
& thanks for not hijacking the thread for too long lol

very nice

Mick, those guys are gonna be very cool.

That doombull shield thing is especially clever.

We seem to have similar tastes in minis, everything you have done lately is stuff I really like. Of course, how could one not love a Doombull and a Dragon Ogre??lol

Shield\'s brilliant,I love things (banners etc) made up of battle trophies and other oddities, seems the primer has given an added effect too,can\'t wait to see it all painted! :D

I\'ve done the leather since taking the pics

and here\'s the Doombull, it\'s only his mouth, just thought I might as well do it at the same time & for some reason it came out much redder in the pics than RL

looking great Mick.

The eye on the Doombull is downright frightening!

I\'m surprised that you do the mouth first, I think it would have been one of the last things I did....

I tend to do that as well if they have their mouth open...i always paint from the inside out. Eyes before skin before clothes before armour etc.

hmmm...

You know, that is the style I usually use also. Inside out. But why would I never consider the mouth as part of it? I always seem to save that for last, or close to last.

Funny little quirks, we painters have.;)
