New movie, I just now heard of...

Looks pretty interesting in a \'b\' movie kind of way....plus it was directed by Neil Marshall, who did Dog Soldiers and The Descent...two movies that really exceeded my expectations.

Saw the trailer yesterday - Mad Max meets Clockwork Orange with the added bonus of Malcolm McDowell and Bob Hoskins.

On my list to see it is.

They just crammed everyone into Scotland and walled them up lol

It\'s been tried twice before and it didn\'t work either time.

This actually looks really really good. Apparently Rhona Mitras character is based on Snake Plisken and they originally wanted Sean Connery for the principal baddie. No disrespect to Sean but Malcolm McDowel is far nastier than he could ever be so right choice there. As far as I remember Mitra was the original face for Lara Croft so she has the potential to be quite good too.

We\'ve had quite a good run of post apocalyptic British films so hopefully this one can be added to the same list as V for Vendetta, 28 days and even Sean of the dead lol

Don\'t forget to add Children of Men to that list..another great film.

The question that I have is why is it always just one or two squads of troops that they send in? I\'m thinking that a company plus would work better. I mean haven\'t they ever watched any horror movies? One squad always gets killed to the man, leaving only the chemist/biologist to fight their way back:D Come on! Send in the troops with a team of specialists and maybe you\'ll have less losses!:D:D

Why not just save all the effort and just send the chemist/biologist on his tod. \"Here\'s your packed lunch Dr Lucky, off you go.\" lol

I can deal with a squad.. but a woman in the lead role? Sure it worked in Alien..that was an exception to the rule.

You heard it here first folks. Alien - the only movie ever made with a female in the lead role that works! ;)

This looks a little silly to me, and not in a good way. Too sleek and shiny visually for the darkness it seems to be trying to paint.

I bloody hated the director\'s previous movie too.

I meant lead roles in action films.. =) Oh maybe Sarah Conner was one tough b***h too..

Here\'s some roles that should never have been.

Aeon Flux
Catwoman
Live Free or Die Hard (villian.. sure it was a guy..but he was the biggest p***y.
Supergirl

I see your list and counter it with:

Long kiss goodnight,
Kill Bill,
Underworld,
Crouching tiger,
Ghost in the shell.

There have been plenty of good movies with female leads and more still with equal male/female leads. I do agree though that last line in the trailer did seem a bit lame... \"rough enough\".....

I\'d rather watch a cutie rompin round on the screen any day.

another good female lead was Sarah Polley in Dawn of the Dead.

Phew, that trailer was atrocious! Rarely has a trailer ever done such a thorough job in convincing me not to watch a film. Utter tat!
