looking forward to these. Based on your flesh faire entry and stone golem I think the brush skills are there: maybe with these just take some time to add more colour variation and contrast. Check the colour wheel for good colour partners (blue and orange, red and green etc) and add more variety. It should be a really easy way to level up.
Well, I'm apparently one of those unreliable hobbyists who pop up then disappear unpredictably!
I recently worked on some Warhammer 40K minis after Kill Team came out. Here are some space marines I painted up recently (votable in my sig)!View attachment 71018
Nice work on the space marines. I like the texture you have there. How did you get that?
Oh and the genestealer holding the termy helmet is an awesome sculpt, I'd like to see that painted up!
Thanks! The texture happened by accident honestly. The primer was grainy, so I think the dry brushing picked up the texture. (I used a blue glaze to offset the chalkiness.)
Hope to be a little better with updates on the genestealers!

Here's a photo of an original Space Hulk genestealer with a primed modified genestealer (right limbs replaced/repositioned). View attachment 71325
My middle school age son painted this hormagaunt with a gray body, purple armor and fuschia claws, so I'm going to try to match his color scheme... View attachment 71324
