Alex; I've looked at this a lot since Yesterday and I feel that I have to be honest and say I don't think that this is anywhere near your normal work.
It looks totally flat and without any contrast or great variation in colour tones, which seem really compressed.
Also there are several flaws I can see in the painting, mostly shown in the second of the frontal shots. There looks to be a trail of silver paint on the chest close to the cloak, there is a trace of overpaint on the cloak/thumb intersection, there looks to be red on the collar of the underjacket and one of the buttons on the surtout looks off centre.
I've looked long and hard at the Red coat and the more I look at it the more I think that the highlighing is 'wrong'. You have a patch of lighter fabric at the peak of the sturnum and again at the area close to the hip, but nothing to link the two together. I also have to say that the Silver/Red combination isn't working for me, especially combined with the brown underjacket.
Altogether I think that the whole figure is too dark, so a lot of your work is lost in shadow.
