Dragon wings with magnets?

I\'m looking at the pieces of my Dragon Titan of Aarklash and am wondering how I am going to transport the thing if I ever want to take it out of the house. Let\'s say my current D&D campaign makes it to high level and a major foe is an ancient red dragon--the Dragon Titan would be perfect for that, but then I have to drive it over to where we play every couple weeks.

I like the idea of magnets for the wings, which Ultraforge did with its Greater War Demon. Any ideas on how I could afix magnets to the Dragon Titan\'s wings? Is there a tutorial out there?

Thanks!

Thanks, yeah, they help...to discourage me from doing it ;). Having a 4-year old and an 8-month old also discourages me from the idea of having little magnets floating around the house. I\'m thinking I\'ll try doing a deep and snug pin job so that I can just put them on and off. If that doesn\'t work I\'ll just glue it and deal with the big beast.

What I did on my Steam Dragon is to drill out a hole in the body and wing, and used a piece of steel wire - 1/16\" 2mm (?) - a the inner support. Glue it in the body or the wing and leave the other free so you can detach it. There can be a bit of a problem with the wing wanting to spin/rotate. A TOUCH of rubber cement can help stop the rotation and allow you to be able to remove the wing.

What Shawn said, but two pins

Alchemist, I know that we have dealt with each other before on Rackham stuff! On Bartertown maybe...

Anyway, what I am doing is putting in two piano wire pins into the wing (as the male part) and drilling to holes in the body as the female. I am leaving the pins longish. Maybe an inch? That way, once they are in, there will be no way they can fall out.

My wife, however, has simply told me to assemble it but build a special carrying case for the beast. That is a solution as well.

get rare earth magnets. they are not really rare but they sure are powerful. just search google and some online stores will pop up.

i have never seen the dragon in person, i bet it is huge if magnets are in consideration.

What I did was use a combination pin and rare earth magnet system. It works quite well for the limbs, but the wings themselves are so bulky and long that even with the pin/magnet combination, they don\'t stay on too well.

Or it could just be that I stuffed up :).
