Dragon Wings

just curios as to how 1 would go about painting the underside of GW dragon wings. obviously one would highlight ontop. but what would 1 do on the bottom? id show ap ic of what i have done so far but as the model is for a conversion contest i cant... il\'l pm the guy as its already submited and see if i can post it...

If you want them semi-transparent, go ahead and highlight them like the light was shining through them. Think of them as like parchment.

The old Chicken Dragon actually only provided a lead frame for the wings and a template to cut parchment to apply to the frames.

If they\'re not semi-transparent as mentioned, just don\'t higlight them AS much.

You want some definition, but not so much that it appears the same on both sides. If you go to far, apply a wash.

well i went for a transparent kind of look thanks for the tips guys it looks good! il\'l post pics the second im alowed to... unfortunatly for now im not really at liberty to unveil it on the forums...

it would be really cool if you did it translucent but painted arteries and vains on it

heres why.... The contest is simple as always.
A painted vehicle for all of you who have already shown your conversion paint it.
And if you have not shown your conversion then you can enter it as a conversion into the contest.

AKA if i show u i cant enter it

how about i already painted them? plus thats way too complicated im not that good and i thought that mini was never sposed to be seen again? lol
