Dragonlance the movie?

I have known about this for 6 months. seeing as who is doing Raistlin\'s voice I am jumping around my room singing....they cast that voice dead on!

Add to the fact my 2nd Favorite female character from Buffy is voicing a character I am stoked.

At least it would mean a welcome return for Tom Selleck to our screens ;)

I, on the other hand, am dreading Keifer as Raistlin.

We\'ll see.

I loved the dragonlance series as a kid. Absolutly adored it. I\'ve grown less and less fond of it though as I have gotten older, because it\'s not written that well (but hey, we\'re talking pulp fiction here, not something written to win a pulitzer prize) So I\'ll probably go out of nostalgia and hope I come out with a grin on my face.

I\'ve always loved Dragonlance ever since I got a free copy of Autumn Twilight with the C64 game. I\'m especially obsessed with Raistlin - that whole inner conflict subplot. I\'m guessing that as it\'s just the voice, Keifer will do ok. I\'m still really disappointed that it\'s going to be a \"cartoon\" movie rather than something like Lord of the Rings. But, judging by the previous D&D effort, this may be a good thing.

(Totally not bragging)

Ok, I met Weiss at Comicon in 06\'. She signed my Dragonlance D20 base book. Oddly, nobody else was around and I had the chance to chit chat. She is very excited about it being animated. It was their first option and you can imagine the reasons. Cooler fireballs and no looming companies changing things. This will be her books directly animated.

No decent director would touch anything like Dragonlance with a 200ft bargepole.

Guaranteed to be shite.

The D&D movie was a joke, SciFi channel had more success with their sequal to that movie. However the dragonlance flick i am looking forward to. i\'m a fan of Dragonlance and have always wnated one. I\'ll just have to wait and judge how the voices are when i hear them.

The books were written to support a group of friends that played D&D. They may not have bben the best written but most of the characters were someone you could relate to. (For me anyway)

Im with some of you in that when I was younger I had a grea affection for the series but as time went on I am less attached to them still they helped get me into D&D and eventually into minis so for that I guess I am grateful. I will go expecting the worst but hopeing for the best. But who knows LOTR was originally a toon and look how that turned out. heres hoping.

And OrkyDave you should be a shamed dont you have GOOGLE on your computer.
