Drawing on your minis?

Does anybody draw with a soft pencil on their minis after they\'ve primered them, but before they paint them? i started out doing it just out of habbit from doing 2D stuff, but now i\'m starting to doubt the technique. Just wondering if anyone does it or if you\'ve all got good enough eyes to see where the paint is going to end up without the guide lines.

i dont draw em on.... altho i may start trying out a different way do things round here so like what would u draw on the mini? the shadin or what?

Always for freehand

For any freehand work or quartering/halving heraldry I always use a light number 2 pencil to draw guides. I haven\'t use this in a long time though, and don\'t have any examples.

for free hand i can understand (did that with a sharpie for a black templar cross)

Yes, as i guide for where the shading and freehand will go.

DONT use a hard pencil. #2 is good. The hard ones can \'scribe\' thru the paint.
