Dripping blood effect?

I'm working on a FW avatar, and I want to do justice to the 'bloody hand' portion of the fluff. I'm looking for a way to do a clear red dripping effect (there's a carnifex in the nid codex drooling something green if you're familiar with that... that but in red is what I'm aiming for). It also needs to be reasonably durable since this is a gaming piece. Has anyone done something similar before?

You could try staining some Uhu glue with red ink, and then stretching that around for your bloody strands. It's fairly delicate, though. For a hardier application, you might have to use cut bits of translucent fishing wire, then glooping drips of red ink stained resin along the wire. I've only seen the latter application on terrain pieces, though - never on a miniature.

This was a Warghulf that I did, I put a wire to do the arch and I tied some line threads in this arch, later I went dripping white glue drops PVA, it let to dry and it put more. The painting I used a paint to paint stained glass window.
