How could i paint a dripping blood effect? Iv got the slayer model from GD and want the blood to be dripping off a piece of slate. Iv heard of people using PVA mixed with paint and UHU glue?
Any suggestions would be great.

You could try a piece of fishing line, with pva glue towards the bottom to make the \'\'blob\'\'.

This could be very fragile though, but then again, I havent tried it :D

Invisible thread and superglue, dries pretty quick! You could also use a blob of epoxy, but that could take a while to dry...

clear plastic thread (I think it\'s for making necklaces), it\'s about 0.2mm thick, and an Acrylic resin \'water effects\' product. when the resin dries the thread is invisible. You can also color the resin before hand.

That super glue idea sounds good, never thought of that. I aint got no money for fancy epoxy\'s and water effects!

I use a 2 min epoxy - let it dry a bit on the surface you\'re using to mix it and then just use a toothpick to apply it, drag it down, and you\'re done.

PVA is water soluble, so it won\'t damage any tools you use - especially if you use a brush to add the red (Be sure to mix it thoroughly, as if you\'re using white PVA the blood might end up slightly pink!)

You also don\'t need to worry about PVA being brittle, as when it dries it becomes rubbery, and will not be damaged by knocking.

However, due to it\'s limited strength, it may \"rip off\" of the surface if it is pulled.

Ok so I dont have any pics yet as Im at work and its 1200kms and 12 days till I get there but this is a tip I got from primevil.

<<<<< LINK TO EXAMPLE >>>>>

Cotton superglued from weapon hand etc.
Use PVA to simulate dripping blood. This will take 4 to 5 coats or more to get the desired result.
Paint red. Red ink wash. Black ink wash (very thin) rehighlight red till desired color.

Thanks to Primeval for the tip he may have done an article if he didnt then he should (hint hint)

I have no examples at the moment but the one dripping blood i bid was a superglued bit of clear sewing thread and then dribbled the super glue down the line and used Zap a Gap to quick dry it before the glue blob feel. painted it up with some Tamiya clear red mixed with a small amount of tamiya smoke.
