It\'s the hatch from a devilfish/hammerhead turret. Maybe the squad that uses the pod took it as a trophy and welded it to the side as ablative armour

It looks fine. If some fanboy sees it and says \"that hatch is Tau, your pod sucks\", do him a favour and hit him with a bar of soap.

I too like the actuators on the control fins. Very impressive scratching.

Finally got some paint on the little bugger. Now I\'m a little in doubt how to paint the rest. Should I paint the doors steel or leave them, paint the rims, use warning stripes, paint the hydraulics etc.
It supposed to fit in withTHIS og THIS please let me know what you think.

It does need a bit of color, IMO, to make it go with the other two pieces you linked - warning stripes and a bit of yellow would do perfect methinks.

I think you will be able to add a bit more colour when you do the Wolf badges/emblems and also as Steelcult has mentioned some selective warning signs and hatching.

I wouldn\'t go too mad with the hatching and warning signs though bearing in mind this thing drops from space and glows cherry red as it passes through the atmosphere

If painted the areas where the metallics are going (doors tin bitzish rest steel like). My plan is to try and make very worn - scorched in the bottom, lots of scratches and the like. I just bought some Andrea Pigments I\'ll try and use as well - anyone have any experience with those?
Idears for weathering most welcome.
