Dry Paint.

Question:

You apply thin layer of paint. You watch as the paint has a wet\\shiny look, that slowly shrinks away.

When that \"wet\" look has ~dissolved~... is the paint fully dried? Or dare I wait additional seconds?

You are waiting to apply the next layer? There is a period in a paints cure that it is particularly tender. Dragging a brush full of paint across it will cause it to peel the lower layer instead of adding a layer.

I solve this by either working on another area (cloak, pants, shirt) or on another mini while I am waiting on the first to dry/cure.

Yes waiting to apply the next paint layer. Usually, I apply very little paint, and its thinned, so I can visually see the \"wetness\" dissipate. I\'m just wondering if its truely dry, just because its not wet\\shiny looking.

Because I dont wait, as soon as that wet appearence is gone, I slap another layer on.

Surely, you would know best yourself if that works or not, right? :] If you can apply the next layer without problems when you think the previous layer is dry then there\'s no problem, is there?

Well...
People mention a \"peeling\" which I have never experienced.

But in my downtime, I wondered if the paint was still moist enough so it was somehow disturbed when I started painting over it... thus leading to... chalky death
