Drybrushing sand

Hi.
I\'m working on my tabletop and are having a real trouble getting an even and smooth surface when drybrushing the highligts.
I\'m using pallid flesh with chaos black (grey), since i want it to match the bases for my ogres (which i had no problem getting a nice surface with i might add). What am I doing wrong?

I\'ll see if i can get a pic on it by tomorrow.

I don\'t think Drybrushing is meant to give you an even and smooth surface.

Are you \'drybrushing\' or \'overbrushing\'?

I don\'t want to sound like a know-it-all, but drybrushing uses very little, hardly ANY paint. You wipe the brush clean with a cloth. Overbrushing you leave considerably more paint on.

Also, to help smooth out a rough drybrush section, you may want to go with a very thin \'base color\' wash.

thin your paints a bit. wipe the paint off and work the brush back and forth in order to SLOWLY built up the paint. use a big brush with fine, soft bristles for terrain. like a makeup brush
