Hi All,

Started to sculpt with Fimo soft. Tried and failed with Green stuff about 10 years ago, that sticky stuff is not for me.

Thought I would share my progress, hopefully getting ideas and pointers from the community as i go along.

Finished and (sort of) painted. All in all, well spent hours, learned a lot and will hopefully be able to learn from my mistakes and sculpt something better next time round.
I will call him Bruce.

Next up: The Enforcer. Character type from Mutant: Year Zero RPG. (Based on illustration in rulebook)

Very nice and clean work! Bruce is nice, the only problem to me is the axe. Maybe you can try different pose to the minis, take some move! Keep working!

Used an actual camera with proper lens this time, almost wish I did not. These things look fine on the table but then the camera pics up Every Mistake You made.


One of the shoulderpads is supposed to be a cut up tire.

Will be following this thread closely. I've always wanted to learn this craft, and I think that I, too, would use Fimo. Are you using Fimo on the Mutant figure too? Don't change a thing, you are off to a great start. How many figures did you sculpt before the first one on this WIP? Looks like you have some decent experience under your belt. Man...I am so jealous of those that can sculpt. Really a cool skill. If u ever need anyone to paint them, I'm your guy

Thank You BloodFather. Yes it´s Fimo on the Mutant figure too. Easier to see details in this color, probably will try grey for the next one. I don´t have that much experience when it comes to sculpting. More of a 2d guy until now, You know paintings and sketches stuff.

I will (as seen) surely need help with painting the minis, Thank You.

Baked it, forgot to put in the eyes, did them after. Not very clever...

Next up: Female. They say It´s super hard to do so we´ll see...

Keeping at it.

I keep getting the nose and mouth way to big, but I don´t notice until i take a close up and transfer it to the computer. So I do that, back and forth.
I also need to make some really small tools, keep moving to much clay when trying to adjust mouth and eyes.

The Fimo does not want to be stroked at this level of detail, fragments and leaves a ghastly finish. Pushing with the slightest hint of push/pull seems to do the trick.

Added the mandatory(?) Victorias Secret Armor set. Was supposed to be disks with leather strings connecting them but turned out as poory made chainmail, oh well...

Boots and shield to be added.
