Thats looking really nice cadian. Its dynamic and the figures look as they are interacting which is half the battle won.

Now give it a great paintjob!!!

Yep the action in the poses is looking good. Are you going to theme the paint job to a season. Suspect the GD people mike like that as ties it all in.

I would also like to know about the leaves and that on the base. I\'ve got some wd\'s I will be starting soon and I want to do an autumn scheme so looking for that leaf scatter.

well the leaf scatter is free its from a tree.not sure of the name .i think the leaves are in the katkins.when they fall of they should split there may be a tutorial somewhere.

I made the tree out of GS with an armature of skewers.the rocks are just random rocks.

what do you mean \'give it a good paintjob\' its nearly fin ished any tips on the paintjob

cheers for all cojmments

Nice!

That\'s looking great James! A very good idea, and the base is awesome too. The figures are dynamic and it\'s all looking very promising :D

The NMM is great. The blood too. I would say the beastie needs more depth and highlights to his skin (although I don\'t know if you\'ve finished him yet or not), and the eye of the wardancer could use a bit more definition around it. Maybe to add a little more dynamism you could make on of the beastie\'s weapons actually falling out of his hand, rather than him gripping on to each. Remember to do some solid pinning on this one :D

Good luck, I look forward to seeing this at GD

Do the CMoN thing: buy your leaf litter from Mickc22! :D

The base does look very impressive, but the quality of the other two is not quite up to scratch. Sorry, I am no golden demon judge or not even one of the best painters on here, but in my honest opinion this will struggle to make the final cut as it is, let alone place. The duellists are the focal point and not the backdrop, and both could benefit from more work and a little TLC.

You have really improved lately, as I have viewed your gallery and you can do better than this. Look at your get together vostroyan if you don\'t believe me!

On a positive, the pose is very dynamic, and the duellists interact, which I have been told the judges like. You are also basing it round the GW background with both beastmen and wood elves living in and fighting over the forests, which I have also been told the judges like.

You ARE improving so push yourself that little bit more and prove me wrong, I know you can do it. :)

Your blending is getting very good, TheCadian. Your blending skill that you incorporate really does shine through. Good stuff!

Bill hit the nail on the head cadian, more definition. The beastmans chest looks sloppy and unfinished (although I imagine a great detail of this will be hidden when the elf is pinned) but parts look messy, like under his arms.

If it were mine I would make the shading a tad darker and the highlights a touch lighter . Sorry I should have been constructive with my first post.
