Metals

I was experimenting again with the Non-metallic Metals technique.
The colors I used for the armor were GW Nauseating Blue mixed with Reaper Slate, darkened with first a mix of Reaper Blue Black and GW Nauseating Blue, and then finally Black, then for the highlights I used White.
The steel was done with the same colors minus the Nauseating Blue.
Reaper Slate is my new favorite color for steel.
I was trying out my husband\'s recipe for the gold, which is always more difficult for me for some reason. Probably because I don\'t see much of it. :D
That was a base of GW Bubonic Brown, with glazes of first GW Snakebite Leather, then darkening that with GW Scorched Brown, bringing the highlights up by lightening Snakebite Leather with Yellow (don\'t remember the name, but it\'s bright) and White.
I did the design on the shield freehand, in imitation of the designs that were already on his shoulders, because the shield was so flat and plain.
Thanks for your comments.
