Dullcote: Before and AFter pics

Does anyone have examples of a mini before and after Testor\'s dullcote?

I\'m trying to figure out how much \"over-highlighting\" I should do... maybe some under shading? over under

I\'d just paint it as normal then use your dullcote. I don\'t think theres that much change with testors dullcote added IMO.

But luckily I still have time before i sprayeth mein dully kotez onto my first officially completed mini in over 2+ years... epic times approach@!

wow i got a reply in orkish You could always post your pic of before and after in this thread. I don\'t think you will have a problem with using dullcote on your minis....just don\'t breathe whilst spraying. ossessed:

Ive found that dull coat helps bring out my highlights and havent ever needed to go over them once they were coated.

DullCote really gives the Mini a Matt look, makes it go even matter than when first painted, this is excellent for showing up subtle highlights.

the downside is when a mini has a bit of shine you can get away with a few minor strong highlights, with Dullcote these will stand out a mile.

I used it for the first time 2 months ago, and would never go back. If you want a mini where every aspect of the painting is shown use it.

Bumpage of Old Thread

So I finally used dullcote on some dirt\\gravel terrain... I had used inks on one portion which were shiny looking of course.

I did perhaps 2-3 spray passes on the terrain, with random intervals of time inbetween.

I found that all of the terrain has picked up a very slight gloss... ummmm.... Does anyone know WHY? did I use too much? not enough? It definitly seems pieces that were matte... are now glossy. And yes it IS Dullcote Im using.

Never used dullcote but some people mentioned that not shaking the can properly before use could result in a gloss(ier) sheen?
