Dust tactics US Walker

My latest work is painted with an airbrush and it is my first airbrush work you see here. All in all, I have painted only 3 models and the first one was actually just a practice piece I painted, so that I would learn how my brush works and behaves. In this one I used tecnique called the color modulation. Style that sparks different opinioins what comes to HC modellers, but I personally like it. Some think it looks unrealistic. I would have used it if that would have been ordinary Sherman. I think it makes models more interesting and gives them depth. Though you can give a model a depth and bring out details with pigments/oils/lining and weathering as well.

I'm happy with the results, but the colors look a bit too green in those pics. Don't know why, but it is not that terrible. IRL it looks a bit more muted and brownish green.

Very nicely done. Coloring on the tank looks great and I like the weathering. Enough without going overboard.

I've had my eye on these models but haven't bought any yet. Their vehicles look great. I'm a little worried about the quality of the character figures. I'd like to see one or two in person before I buy a box.

Very nice work. I just started to use my airbrush for more than priming and sealing. I'll use this as a reference for success.

You might disappoint, since those infantry models are made of rather soft plastic and not that detailed after all. When I slightly converted that walker leader model, I had really hard time to get those pieces connect. I tried plastic glue and super glue, and none of those seemed to hold for some reason and I have glued x number of plastic, metal and resin models. But mayde you should see those irl before deciding

Stunning. Colour modulation is spot on, I love that hint of an edge highlight, and the weathering is fantastic! The only thing I would have loved to see was perhaps some kill markings or perhaps a name that the crewmen picked out for their ride. It would have given it a touch more personality. And maybe a tiny bit of soot around the exhaust.

I'm going to have to pick up one of those walkers one day. They're just so characterful, and every time I read a WWII book or movie, I have to fight the urge to run down to my local game store and grab one to paint.
