Alright...so this is the first Reaper I\'ll actually finish (and be happy with) since I started back. I still lack quite a bit of work but here it is so far. I think I\'ve put around 12 hours into it...something around that. Hope everyone likes it =)

Thats the first blend I\'ve done as well...took me a couple tries lol.

I think the painting looks really good - you have to care though that he doesn\'t get to red/orange - you need some contrasting and less flashy colors

Yea...I was gonna do his hair brown to maybe help offset the overall red scheme somewhat (hopefully).

Thats actually some very sage advice from Manus. Dwarves are the blue collar workers of the WH world and fantasy in general for that matter. Not like those fashionista high elves.

I actually think brown is too red - go with a dark grey, black or something bright - maybe with a \"bleached bone\" for the basecolor.

Hmmm...so base-coat his hair with bleach bone and then highlight with white aye? Just wanting to make sure I understand what youre saying. That would make him look like an old grizzled veteran which would work nicely. My whole idea for this one was for him to use the hide of an old red wyrm for protection against the flames and a frostbrand to slay em with. Making him an old geezer would be a good thing too. Thanks for the idea =)

It is going well so far. The blending on the sword looks nice.

I can\'t see the back of the loincloth so well because of the photo.

I always find that until I do the skin a model never really looks as good as it should...the skin tones bring it to life...so I am looking forward to seeing this when it has been done.

I like the idea of a lighter coloured hair.

you could go with a bleached bone to white - a dark grey to white, both could make him look old but I think you\'ll get the best grissled effect by using the grey-way.

Also with all that red I would go for a silver metal on the metal parts

So I made him a grizzled old dwarf and did his hair and beard grey. Im having a heck of a hard time doing the eyes though...any suggestions on that...?

guess there is no easy way of doing eyes (that I have found anyway) just have to keep trying till it\'s good enought.

I think you should highligt the skin some more. I think I would highlight the beard even more as well.
This will help drawing attention to the face, and that\'s where the focal point af the mini needs to be.
