Tomorrow (March 1st) is the national day of Wales, Saint David\'s Day. I implore you to eat cockles and laverbread and quaff some of our fine ales, toasting the wee man who liked animals so much. He was a vegetarian you know and wouldn\'t harm the little darlings :). Wear that daffodil with pride and strap a leek to your thigh. Sing a song in a tenor voice and remember the mines, etc...

HAPPY SAINT DAVID\'S DAY!

Merry St Davids day!

At least he lived in Wales, St George was a Turkish knight who lived in the \'holy land\'. Didn\'t even visit

I think Mr Pope is too ill to go around \'de-sainting\' or any \'smitting\'.

Bloody bugger never visits anymore, thats it we\'re having a divorce.

Could be worse, St Patrick was an English monk lol

...and to you too! Ah, my namesake. My father is Welsh, so my heritage and name dictate that I should celebrate this auspicious occasion. Not quite sure about the cockles and laverbread, but I\'ll certainly down an ale to toast the bloke. :flip:

Vegetarian, huh? I guess that is where the Saint and I differ ...that and the whole God and sainthood bit!! lol

You can put the daff wherever you want! he leek likewise. Just thought it would be funny to have them on the thigh lol. Originally they were worn to differentiate between us and the enemy in a battle, though it was a LONG time ago and a spur of the moment ploy :).

Quaff and quaff again.
