Hi everybody,
I've just finished up said competition entry. First time I ever put so much into a base; can't say I really enjoyed it, basing is one of those things I loathe. Also tried a lot of new techniques - shadows on the model are accentuated by dusting pigments, then spraying metho to blend.
The flesh recipe has also changed drastically - GeOrc suggested that I should try mixing up my own fleshtones. I cheated and used a variant of his, instead. P3 Menoth White Base, mixed with turqoises and blues for shadows, then P3 Menoth White Highlight and Morrow White for highlights.
This model also has a lot of Tamiya Clear Red thrown in for blood effects. I liberally whipped the brush around to get a lot of splatter, but I'm not sure it came out that well.
Please drop me a vote and criticism, if you should feel inclined; that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for looking.
