Ebay Keywords and Nicknames

So in light of my recent auctions being pulled for keyword spamming, what is a guy to do when his painting nickname is considered a \"celebrity\" name and can\'t by used in the titles?

\"Painted by Zaphod\" is nfg... at least not according to the mail they sent me.

Most people know you by your real name Glyn and your auction title can include that for the collectors to see. they find the auctions we have this way.

Not much getting fully around it though I can see.

Perhaps Glyn is fine. I can add the rest in my description, though they seemed to have issues with me \"circumventing ebay fees\" by suggesting people check out the galleries on my website (with no link even)...

I am starting to think some git simply reported me out of spite. Oh well.

I can\'t believe you arent allowed to use your nickname in your auction.
Does that mean I can\'t either, or are you only a celebrity when you have haters who report you to ebay?

That\'s a pretty bum deal, Zaphod. eing singled out like that and not being able to refer to other workdone by you would surely cut down on the interested parties.

Sounds like sniping..and I don\'t mean winning auctions. Hope his karma reflects this and he comes back in his next life as a bum with negative feedback.

I think you should write a letter back to eBay stating that you are known as Zaphod among the mini-painitng community, and have been using this name long before that movie came out (which is the only reason why I could think of that somebody\'s having a fit about it now). And you ought to list all the current mini-paintings sites where you use that name (list as many as possible and use links to your stuff). An dlastly mention that not beign able to use your pseudonym cuts into your final sale price, which also cuts into thier final value fees, thus costing them money as well as yourself.

I think the whole thing is bogus. Zaphod is a fictional character whos\' been around for years and only be made famous recently because of the movie. My god, should I live in fear that I wouldn\'t be able to list my minis on eBay if soembody made a popular movie with a character named \"Duende\" in it?

How long have you been registered at eBay? If it\'s been sevaral years, I don\'t see why they can complain about it now.

eBay certainly is stupid sometimes.
