I was very impressed by him. I even saved the picture to show my husband (who\'s a professional artist, degree and everything, makes me self-conscious when I\'m painting, rank amataur that I am). I showed it to him later and the conversation when like this:
Me: Here\'s another pic I saved...
Hubby: Wow, nice source-lighting! I like it.
Me (pointing at base): Look, see who painted it?
Hubby: Zaphod! Gee, I remember when he used to suck!
OK, Zaph, I don\'t mean this as an insult, it\'s actually my husband\'s way of complimenting you. Please translate to: \"Zaphod! Gee, I {can see how much this mini depicts his advancement in skill as a painter over the past years]!\"
I just wanted to share, I thought it was funny.

Honestly, I didn\'t mean you sucked. It wasn\'t meant as negative criticism, but more complimentary, like Duende said. I can really see an improvement in your work. If I were you, I\'d be proud.
I\'m getting back into the mini scene (tired of airbrushing and advertising), and have a few of your pieces saved as inspiration. Now, to get a better camera...
