ebay prices

hi,
just a thought thwere are 2 space marine captain sicarusses on ebay at the mo one is a 7.7 ish and is selling for $125.

the other is a 8.1 and is selling for $76.99

why is the higher ranked mini cheape then the ower ranked one??

The lower ranked one happens to have a buyer who likes that mini enough to pay that kind of money for it (maybe another buyer then the other, maybe an other coloursheme, personal preference and so on). Has very little to do with cmon rating. The buyer is an individual afterall and it\'s what he/she fancies, what fits his/her taste/army best, and the amount of money the buyer is willing to spend... and a big portion of luck (the right auction (time, mini, colours) combined with the right buyer at the right time). And not everyone who is a potentional buyer even knows the cmon score... or has even heared of it.

I\'ve seen a 8,6 rated mini go for 60 bucks and a 7,0 one at the same day for around 150 bucks (granted, wasn\'t the same miniature). So rating definatly isn\'t everything. Though usually it can be a good indication of what will do well especially if they are the same mini and around the same coloursheme). But it\'s always a roulette. I\'ve seen miniatures go for way to much in my eyes, but even more often go for much to little concidering the skill (and thus rating) that went in them

And not fogetting the fact that some buyers like the work of particular individuals so will buy from them regardless of the price.
